What we can fix — and what we will not pretend to

One session, one PC, $49, and an engineer who stays with it until the problem is gone. Below is the honest scope, including the jobs we hand to somebody better equipped than us.

Scope

Two lists, and the second one matters just as much

If your problem is on the first list, one $49 session usually ends it. If it is on the second, we will tell you straight away rather than take your money and improvise.

✓ What we fix

  • Windows will not start — boot loops, black screens, startup errors such as 0xc00000e, "boot from system file damage"
  • Windows Update trouble — updates that stall, fail repeatedly, or leave the machine unusable
  • Blue screens and random restarts — repeated errors, driver conflicts, unstable machines
  • A slow or cluttered PC — startup cleanup, tuning, and an honest verdict on whether an upgrade is worth the money
  • Disk and partition work — resizing, cloning to a new drive, moving programs, setting up a backup
  • Logical disk damage — corrupted volumes, lost partitions, accidentally deleted files that are still physically present
  • Software that will not install or activate — including licences bought somewhere else
  • Setting up a new PC properly — accounts, updates, drivers and backup, so it does not need fixing next month

✕ What we hand to someone else

  • Physical drive failure — clicking, grinding or unrecognised drives: we stop working immediately and tell you what a recovery lab costs, because every minute powered on makes it worse
  • Hardware repair — motherboards, screens, keyboards, power supplies. That is a workshop job
  • Soldering and board-level repair — we do not do it, and anyone who does it cheaply should worry you
  • New hardware supply and warranty claims — your retailer or the manufacturer handles those
  • Macs and Linux — Windows is what we know properly, and we would rather say so
  • Server rooms and managed network hardware — a different specialist, with different insurance
  • Guaranteed recovery of data that is already gone — nobody honest can promise that

Not sure which list your problem is on? Describe it in one email and we will tell you before you pay anything — including "that is a hardware fault, do not pay us".

How a session works

You stay in control the whole time

STEP 01

Email the details

The exact error, your Windows version, and what changed just before it started. This is what lets us solve it in one sitting.

STEP 02

Price and a time slot

$49, confirmed in writing, with a slot that suits your time zone. Nothing is charged yet.

STEP 03

We connect, you watch

With the screen-sharing tool you choose — TeamViewer, AnyDesk or Quick Assist. You stay at the machine, watch every step, and can end the session whenever you like.

STEP 04

Solved, or refunded

The session runs until the problem is gone. If it cannot be fixed, you are refunded in full — and if the same problem returns within 14 days, we look again for free.

What you need on your side

  • A Windows PC (Windows 10 or 11 preferred; Windows 7 and 8.1 usually work too)
  • A working internet connection, and permission to install a screen-sharing tool if you do not have one
  • About 30–90 minutes, and the password to your own machine — nobody else's
  • Any error text or screenshots you already have. They save time you are paying for

Planned care

For people who would rather not think about it

A single session fixes one problem. Planned care is the other way round: a standing arrangement where we keep an eye on your machine, your backup and your accounts, and deal with the small things before they become the reason you email us in a panic.

  • Scheduled health checks — disk, updates, startup and backup, reviewed on a timetable
  • Patching and cleanups — done for you, not left as a reminder you ignore
  • Backup verification — a restore test is part of the routine, not an afterthought
  • A named engineer — the same person each time, who already knows your setup
  • Priority replies — your email goes to the front of the queue

Questions we get every week

Do I have to be at the machine?

Yes, and you should want to be. You watch every step on your own screen, you keep control of the mouse, and you can stop the session at any point. We never work on your PC while you are away from it.

What if I do not have TeamViewer or AnyDesk?

We walk you through installing one, or use Quick Assist, which is already built into Windows. Either way, you are the one approving the connection.

Can you help if I bought a licence somewhere else?

Yes. Plenty of people come to us with a licence from a shop or another seller and just want the machine sorted out. There is no fee for looking at it, and no lecture.

What if it turns out to be a hardware fault?

We tell you straight away and stop. If nothing has been fixed, the session is refunded. If the fault is on a failing drive, we also tell you to keep it powered off, because that is what protects your data.

How does the refund actually work?

If we cannot solve the problem, the $49 comes back to you in full — you do not have to argue for it. Ask within 14 days, and it is handled under our refund policy.

Can you work on more than one PC?

Yes, quoted per job rather than per session, and usually cheaper per machine than booking separately. Say how many machines you have when you write.

Describe the problem, get a straight answer

Send the error text and your Windows version. Within 12 hours you get a price, a time slot, or an honest "that is not us" — whichever is true.
